Fishing The New River With Freinds

Nothing could be much more fun than fishing with three of your friends for your birthday. Ted (birthday boy), Jason, Thad and Whip hit the New River with me and Marty and took advantage of a beautiful day for battling with some smallmouth bass. A total of about 75 fish for the day and some nice ones to boot. Thad had the big fish of the day with a 18 incher and Jason is pictured below with his 17 and 3/4 inch smallmouth bass. Ted easily caught the most fish and Whip tried his hand at fly fishing and ended up with a good performance with one smallie of about 14 inches and a few others in just a short time, all on top water flies. It was a pretty balanced day as far as everyone getting in on the action.Thanks to everyone for a fine trip.
