Good Fishing With Good Folks

Did a trip with some members of the Mountain Bridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited from down in South Carolina after two other attempts to do so only to be rained out. Not a bad day on the New River as we landed fish numbering in the forties. It was a combo day of spin fishing (mostly spin fishing) and a little fly fishing action. Monty wanted to catch a smallie on the fly and had a few to his credit fly fishing when he hooked up and landed one that put up a good fight and was fourteen plus inches in length. Below Monty is pictured with a 16 and 3/4 inch smallie and Glenn with the big fish of the day at 19 and 1/2 inches in length. It was a great day with good people on a beautiful river. Thanks guys and looking forward to the next trip and hopefully Monty will catch a monster on a dry fly.
